Monday - Friday weekday locations for those in need: Conference of Churches Soup Kitchen Alliance Hall 6th & Chew Streets, Allentown Bagged lunches available Monday - Friday from 12 - 1 p.m. Ripple Community 1335 Linden St, Allentown Community Center continues to be open during normal hours (Tuesday -Thursday, 1-5 p.m. and Friday - Saturday 11 - 3 p.m). Has snacks and sandwiches. They also screen people who come into the center by taking their temperature and practice physical distancing. They are still handing out (many) sandwiches daily. The Allentown Area Ecumenical Bank 534 Chew Street, Allentown Bags of food distributed at rear entrance. 9:30-11:45 a.m. Monday - Friday. If they ask for a referral, tell them Pastor Bob Stevens, Zion’s UCC sent you. Occasional days: Operation Address the Homeless 221 N 7th St, Allentown Drop-in center Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Sometimes they have food available. Jubilee Breakfast Ministry Zion's UCC, 620 W. Hamilton (rear), Allentown There are "grab and go" chicken or sausage and egg sandwiches, fruit, snack and coffee available Thursday, Friday, Saturday, breakfast meal from 7 - 8 a.m. Christ Fellowship Church 12th & Chew Streets, Allentown Dinner served in front of church Thursdays, Fridays 5 p.m. Jackson Park 9th & Jackson Streets, Allentown Dinner served Saturdays, Sundays 5 p.m. YMCA 425 15th St, Allentown Although they have closed the Warming Station, they continue to provide dinner for school age children, 18 and under. Serving from 4-5 p.m. as follows: Monday - dinner pick-up for Monday and Tuesday; Wednesday - dinner pick-up for Wednesday and Thursday; Friday - dinner pick-up for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. An adult must bring the children the first time to get them registered; thereafter the adult alone may pick up food for the children. |
